Our projects in Tanzania
Tanzania, a country with a young population of around 62 million people in 2022, covers an area about 2.7 times the size of Germany. Despite its size and resources, around a third of the population lives below the national poverty line, and around 46 percent live on less than 3.40 US dollars a day.
Music traditions play an important role in the country’s various regions and tribes. However, music lessons in schools have been abolished due to education policy measures. This could have an impact on the cultural development of the younger generation.
The average age in Tanzania in 2022 is around 16.9 years old, which means it has a comparatively young population. In this context, our programs focus on promoting music as a means of creative expression and personal development for children, teenagers and young adults.
The idea behind these music programs is not only to enrich their lives artistically and culturally, but also to support educational opportunities and promote exchange on an equal footing with young students from Germany. Cultural exchange through music can contribute to promoting understanding and collaboration in order to jointly shape the world of tomorrow.
Please support us
A small donation can make a big impact. Take a look at our projects and help us provide a better future for children in Tanzania, Romania, Brazil and Germany. We supervise each project personally and are regularly on site. You can support us with a one-time donation or a monthly standing order. The donations go directly into the projects, covering the costs for the lessons and the materials required. Help us open up new horizons for children, teenagers, and young adults.
