Our projects in Brazil
Salvador de Bahia’s “Cabula” district in Brazil is home to many lower-income families. There, families can’t afford to pay for private schools with the improved educational opportunities they offer. Children are often raised by single mothers or come from families with high levels of unemployment. Some children are left to their own devices, while others are taken care of by their grandparents while their parent goes out to earn money by the hour. With our CAPOEIRA project, we want to give these children a boost, helping them to strengthen their physical and cognitive abilities.
