Data protection

DATA PROTECTION INFORMATION

It is important to us at Musicians for a better life E.V. to handle the data entrusted to us (as well as all monetary and material donations) responsibly. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR, TKG 2003). This data protection information applies to Musicians for a better life E.V.

YOUR RIGHTS

In principle, you have the rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation and objection. Please use the contact details below to exercise your rights. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have been violated in any other way, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Germany, this is the data protection authority.

NAMES AND PHOTOS

The privacy of our protégés is very important to us. We therefore only use modified names for all mailings, on the website and in social media. Photos in which individuals are recognizable will only be published with the explicit permission of those depicted (or their legal guardians).

WEB FORMS

We would like to point out that when using our web forms (ordering information material, recurring donations, notification of date of birth for donation deductibility), all data entered and the time of the request are stored. Data is only transferred to third parties if this is necessary to fulfill the request: postal address for sending to the printer, SEPA mandate for direct debit to our bank, date of birth to the tax office. We would not be able to complete the process without this information.

STORAGE PERIODS

In the case of a donation or the indication of the date of birth for the tax office, the relevant data (name, address, date of birth, bank details, donation amount) will be stored until the expiry of the tax retention period (7 years). The data required for sending information material (by post or e-mail) (name, address, e-mail) will be stored until revoked in order to be able to send the requested information regularly. If an address proves to be undeliverable and contact with the recipient can no longer be established, the corresponding data will be deleted after a maximum of two years (unless it must continue to be stored for other reasons). The individual user data for web analysis is automatically deleted from our server after six months at the latest. Anonymized statistics are stored for longer, but no longer contain any personal data.
