Tanz und Trommelunterricht für Grundschulkinder in Bagamoyo
Seit 2018 haben wir uns intensiv für die musikalische Bildung von Grundschulkindern in Bagamoyo eingesetzt, insbesondere an der öffentlichen Grundschule „Mwambao“. Diese Schule wird nicht nur von der ärmeren Bevölkerungsschicht besucht, sondern auch von 300 Aidswaisen, die bei Verwandten leben. Die Kinder hatten, abgesehen von der schulischen Bildung, nur begrenzte Möglichkeiten. Bei unserem ersten Besuch konnten wir ihre Begeisterung für Musik spüren, obwohl es an der Schule keinen Musikunterricht gab.
Die Gruppe konnte seither drei Musicals aufführen und damit auf dem internationalen Bagamoyo Festival performen.
2023 haben wir ein zweites Projekt an der Mwanamakuka Schule in Bagamoyo gestartet . Die Kinder bekommen zweimal in der Woche traditionellen Tanz und Trommelunterricht von einem einheimischen Lehrer. Für Oktober 2024 ist ein Auftritt auf dem internationalen Bagamoyo Festival geplant.
